On a September day in the late 4th century CE, a traumatic event—likely an earthquake followed by a devastating fire—disrupted daily life in the city of Luni.
In a house near the West Gate, a family was caught by surprise while cooking. Archaeological investigations have made it possible to reconstruct a “snapshot” of that moment, almost 2,000 years ago.
After an introduction to the most significant objects discovered during the excavation, supported by illustrated information cards, students will cut out and color drawings of the artifacts that interested them the most.
